4-th and 5-th June - during Cielo e Volo airshow in Ozzano near Bologna, Italy you could see six of MD3 Rider aircraft in various designs. On FLYITALIA s.r.l. stand three Riders met together in Czech-Italian colors, together with fixed and retractable undercarriage Dynamics. Next - customer Riders were parking in visitors places.

For me personally the best was 006 - in colorscheme similar to all-composite aircraft. There is in comparison with shape of much more expensive composite CT.

Rider No.008 waiting to refueling.

What another was interesting to see in Ozzano for us:

Italian show-flights, limited by “slow turns till 90 degrees” in the praxis stayed not to be reality: On the ground UL-aerobatics : aircraft C26 from Pino Cirimele (www.avioportolano.it)…

…and rear to him Czech Samba XXL.

Domestic all-metal high-wing DF2000 from CA - Coavio (www.coavio.com) was possible to find here in some pieces.

Domestic sale leader TECNAM presented this year news - without strut highwing P2004 Bravo, first time seen in Fridrichshafen airshow. In details good done design, as all TECNAM designs focused from solid work to robust design on the first place.

Italian specialty is not typical amount of UL gyrocopters, and sometimes shown never seen combination - like this combination of Bell-like bumble with stock of tubes connecting “some way” wings and empennage.

Super-cheap aircraft FLYLAB - oldtimer Tucano, equipped by “copter” bumble of cockpit is next specialty on the Italian menu.

Eurostar shown by top pilot and representative of Aerotechnik Kunovice Davide Burej.

German Impulse, nice but till now “without spice” was shown in facelifted engine cowlings - and becomes well!

Amphibians are little out of Czech pilots interest; this composite one, on the ground not so nice looking by using of a lot of turbulators on the “above” rounded surface seems flying relatively acceptable.

First time I have seen not only on the picture new Czech Skylark from DOVA company of Mr. Vahalik.

About Czech low-wing named Alto I known only from listening. It seems we have to visit a lot of airshow abroad to know something about Czech designs.
Three years after, Gryf club founder Marián Mečiar -original leader of MD3 Rider production manages Alto production for Directfly - in the same place where almost 40 Riders was produced.

A lot of years ago - Italy means Sky Arrow UL aeroplanes for myself. In that time popular pusher, with perfect detail quality… It is not believable the aircraft stay to be in market without some visible change after ten years.

There was interesting to see UL version of Yak from WWII for a lot of Italian enthusiasts.

The hearth of technician enthusiast feels younger to see not this biplane named Renegade (Experimental category) but its powerplant - Australian four-stroke star engine seven-piston Rotec. 130HP, 108 kg. Sorry too much kilos for good ultralight.
Another way - in Italy there are popular mainly UL airplanes similar to bigger sport aircraf - S.G. AVIATION STORM, Rally 105, FLYEVOLUTION SG Beluga, Alpi Aviation Pioneer 200 and Pioneer 300, Corivi aviation Vulcan C100, FLY SYNTHESIS STORCH and TEXAN, VM-1 Esqual, Eurofly Star Light FB5 a Flash, Eurostar, TL-2000 Sting Carbon, Zlin Aviation Savage - similar like yesteryear ( viz. www.gryfair.cz/magazine/?page_id=27 )
Only Fascinations and Sovas from last year are recognizable in visitors parking only, some another airplanes from last year offer not either…
That days we hoped, next year our offer will be increased… |
