FLYITALIA s.r.l. company was established in Syracuse - Sicily, by Anton Quercioli, Marino Pezzotti and Franco Buratto. Jaro Dostal participated on these negotiations from the Czech side, without any FLYITALIA share. That time, Marian Mečiar was missing, because of starting work for Aero Vodochody as a leader of Aero 270 program.

First dialogues about creating of new company and line of all-metal aircraft MD-1 (side-by-side low-wing), MD-2 (low-wing tandem) and MD-3 between Marino Pezzotti, Franco Buratto, Marian Mečiar and Jaro Dostal. Italian side chosen comfortable side-by-side strutted high-wing MD-3 as our first design.

That time - basic Idea was to make development in Czech and start its serial production in Italy.

New firm should be in the same time exclusive dealer for composite low-wing WT-9 Dynamic and Eurofox in Italy, both existing aircraft of our friends.
