When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

USA MD3 Rider is noticed in the article about this year Sun'n Fun airshow:

Making its american debut at the show was the Italian-built MD3 Rider. The all-metal, semi-monocoque, high-wing aircraft is built by Flyitalia and distributed by Space Coast Aviastion Services Inc., from Sharpes, Fla. One of the LSA's options is that it can come with folding wings and tail for simpler storage.

Wing span measures 29 feet, 6 inches. It sports a Rotax 912S under the cowl and has a fuel consumption of approximately 3,5 gallons per hour..

Price runs from $85,000 to $130,000.

The $130,000. model has electric trim, a glass cockpit, wheel fairing - basically anything that could be an option is on the aircraft," said Brad Gutman, vice president of Space Coats Aviation Services.

"Delivery time is about 75 days from the time you place the order."

Gutman noted that the MD3 Rider generated a lot of interest at the show because it is an all-metal aircraft.

So many of the other imports are composite," he said.
