When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

According to last information about dialogues of Canadian Skyboy owners with Interplane owner Ralph Mandarino, Skyboy can be revived again in Canada - read Gilles Mercier's info , published in Yahoo Interplane Skyboy group :

Good evening folks. :

I would like to introduce myself Gilles Mercier from Angus, Ontario, Canada. I am the new proud owner of #41-2002 Sky Boy. The previous owner is well known by all of you Mr. Ray Nash. :

I have been waiting for a long, long time for this moment. I have been in the aviation business since 1978 where I got my Private Pilot License than shortly after my Commercial Pilot License as a Bush Pilot. I have spent 21 years in the Air Force as an Aircrew on the CP-140 Aurora *the Orion P3 version and retired in 2005. In 2002 I got my rating as an Instructor where I started my first Flying School. :

Since than, I have own 2 flying schools ranging from Cessna 172 to Chinook, Sky Arrow and SportStar. But, it took all these years to find the right aircraft. I test flown Ray's aicraft last weekend and I was blown away by the performance and look of his Sky Boy. I was so impressed that Ray didn't have to convince me to buy it. I just gave him a cheque (A Rubber Check)which he doesn't know yet!!! I am kidding! Ray has been paid in full :) I would say at this moment that Ray already missed his aircraft )::

I have big plan for my Sky Boy. 41-2002 will be used for my Flying School in Barrie, Ontario. I strongly believe in the design and versatilities of the aircraft. We are planning Ray and I to revive the need for the Sky Boy. We all know the Sky Boy has been put aside for awhile, but we will certainly do our best to get back the Sky Boy where it belongs, right in front of the Challenger. However, we need you guys to help us in doing this. We all know that the Sky Boy has so much to offer to us "aviator". Let's as an owner be pro-active, let's spread the word around. The Sky Boy is back and for good. Ray and I are planning and talking with Interplane. It is too early for us to tell you guys what we are planning to do but, soon we will fill you in.:

Thanks again for reading me. :

Sky is the limit.:
