When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

Theoretical works in COMP-LET Shark development proceed

Parallel to that aerodynamic works mainly we are continuing with fuselage shape definition , to be aerodynamic, comfortable for the crew during long cruise flights - and in the same time enough  "sharky"  .

The shape of tail is actually enough sharky, now we have to append some gills and opening jaw :o)

From various airfoils prepared specially for our new baby there was chosen profiles with â??bumbleâ?? on polar diagram - in the place of faster cruise speeds. This local curved characteristic decrease aerodynamic drag coefficient under 0,004  by still enough high lift coefficient.

To reach as small as possible aerodynamic drag for fast cross-country flights, Shark s aerodynamics preferre semi-elliptic wing . After dialogues about alternative technological access to that kind of wings production, Vlado Pekár chosen a combination of trapeze wing in flap section with the rest of the wing with elliptical leading edge. To produce LSA wing in the same mold will be enabled by using of small center part of wing between LSA root profile and UL wing cut in adequate position.

Helping to that idea of UL/LSA wing sharing and wing area minimization, main undercarriage with folding during its retracting will be used  like in the modern fighters.
