When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

1989 : First flight of our first ultralight aircraft Gryf ULM-1 was done with engine Astro 600 of Pavel Uhlíř by Let Kunovice test pilot Sklenář.
Zálet našeho prvního ultralightu - Gryfa provedl zalétávač Letu Kunovice Sklenář ještě s motorem Astro 600 Pavla Uhlíře a spolilery příčného řízení, zvolenými kvůli úspoře hmotnosti. Prototyp vážil 137 kg.
Tehdy jsme s letounem presentovaným pod našim zaměstnavatelem LET Kunovice nemohli sami létat - ačkoliv existoval předpis pro stavbu UL letadel, neexistovala možnost jak na něj získat pilotní průkaz.
