When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

Restart of MD3 Rider production - US dealers welcome Print E-mail

After Gryf club expedition to Pik Gryfa, we stopped in Dovera near Milano, Italy â?? Flyitalia production facilities.

From our last visit, Flyitalia doubled production areas to 1000 sq. meters, and moved MD3 Rider production restart slowly to reality. With using of the major part of original GRYF Aircraft sro suppliers, by words of Antonio Bencini - new chief of MD3 Rider production they are " practically starting from zero". Flyitalia informs to delivery three aircraft per month from end of September.

From the reason of hard disillusion from former USA dealer, Flyitalia tries to find some NEW USA DEALER for our SLSA approved allmetal high-wing.

MD3 Rider is produced in Italy with some detail changes :

- with wheels, brakes and fork of front wheel from another producer ( Riders from Gryf aircraft s.r.o. production used Aerospool CZ parts â?? see www.aerospool.cz web pages.)

- with new electric system wiring ( universal cables with dismountable connectors)

- and instrument desks with "plugs" in place of all potential instruments . So now, if customer does not order some specific instrument, can buy that and install later - into prepared installation holes.

Flyitalia actually starts welded cage production with using of CNC tubes cutting too, to reduce aircraft assembly time and save weight.

Another changes of instrumentation and parts are done to use more suppliers from their region - and append some ideas of new production leader of course.

But MD3 Rider's airframe and aerodynamic shape and areas are still the same, to keep Czech LAA type certification still valid .

During our Dovera dialogues, Flyitalia ask to prepare some new versions of Rider and MD3 followers during next years, so maybe - MD4 will not stay forgotten.
