Jet Shark

When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

Gryfair.cz GRYF magazine News LAA by Shark wing assembly
LAA by Shark wing assembly Print E-mail

9-th January Jiří Vychopeř â?? technician of LAA assisted by SHARK's first wing prototype assembly, together with member of LAA technical commision Marian Mečiar and Shark's stressmen Ludva Bedřich . 2,6 kg of first flap does not look bad.

First â??dryâ?? assembly of fuselage shell and interior-shape parts â?? to adjust and confirm its position and connection areas before gluing

Check of wing beam glued in bottom wing part. Areas prepared for glue application are limited by self-glue strips

Then side areas are protected opposite to â??cryingâ?? epoxy, and all glued areas are â??revivedâ?? by light layer of Epoxy glue

â?Śthen there are applied thick layer of toughened Epoxy in all connection areas â?Ś

Looking like from bakery â?? when bakers decorate Christmas sweetmeats â?Ś Very important is visible white line, prepared for red-plastic savers removing after wings are glued together â?? to remove overflowing Epoxy after wing mold closing.

Last application in opposite mold of top wing mold â?? gluing of aileron root-rib

Both parts of wing â?? still in negative molds â?? are closed and pushed together by screws around wing â?? jigs.

Next day left wing was removed from negative molds and first time connected with flaps : Hinges of flaps are creating not-divided aerodynamic profile after flap is retracted

Actually COMP-LET weighing of assembled wing takes very nice 16,65kg. Of course it is without final control system installation, electricity, flap laterals and finalization of fuel tank ...
