When 300km/hour is not enough, there are some ideas to create jet-powered aircraft using Shark design, so You could fly 400-500 km/hour according to used engine.

Price-induction jet looks nice for that purposes :
At Take Off Power, you can get up to 255daN, consuming 80kg/h of fuel for the DGEN 380 and 330daN with 100kg/h fuel consumption for the DGEN 390.

of course - this kind of aircraft cannot be called Ultralight, although its empty weight could be  very similar

30th December 2008, Albert Orlita organized meeting of all involved in L610 regional aircraft development small meeting to celebrate 20th anniversary of L610 prototype first flight

To see more pictures from that meeting, visit photo gallery of Petr Štěrba

To know more about L610 history, read 2008 actualized article of Albert Orlita . Sorry of Czech language only, but rear to article there are large galery from one of the longest aircraft development in the world ( 1976-2004 )

To know more about L610 producer, visit LET Kunovice web pages. Do not try to find L610 in their products list. After 1989 change, no one true new design was finished by Czech "big aircraft industry", although of lot of money, lost in L610 and Aero 270 programs.

Compare that two planes : Product of "big aircraft industry" cost Czech goverment by information of Czech press summarized 7-9 billion Kč = 300-400 millions of Euro. Never certificated, no one sold.

Shown Eurostar and other Czech UL and LSA planes - in which Czech Republic is one of the best in the world cost our goverment no one penny. Tens types in production, hundreds per year sold...
